After being told I was ‘wasting my time’ attempting to race my Mercedes C-11 (58088) at my localish RC club, I decided to get back in to my workshop and build a NIB 1/12 Porsche 956.
I bought this about 12 months ago and have kept it on the shelf, as well as reading up all about it in Feb’s ‘RCC Racer’ magazine.
So what a better time to get stuck-in, as the club driver’s were all driving 1/12 Mardaves, 1/12 Shumacher SuperStox and Xray’s.
I’m going to upgrade to a 10.5T motor, as well as buy a 1S Lipo battery. All of these are ordered, so I hope to get these bolted in within the next week or two.
The lexan is the next to work on, and the paints have been ordered, so once this is done, I’ll add the ‘final’ photos and hopefully some video.
RC club, here I come, and I’ll be the only Tamiya driver there, which is great, as I wanted to stay true to Tamiya, and I think this chassis is perfect for throwing against the Mardaves and Shumacher’s.
