Today saw me attempt to ‘build’ a body shell for the Tamiya Porsche 959 that I’ve recently restored.
The last time I took-on this task was way back in 1986 where I remember building my very first 959 over a weekend! I can’t remember exact details on how I tackled the body shell then, as all I remember was being thrilled with the completed result.
I’m going to use this project as a practice for my other 959’s, so this will be for my ‘runner’ and only using repro decals, as the few original sets I have will be for my shelfers which I’ll end up selling.
There’s been a few ‘schoolboy errors’ already!!… but these learnings will prove valuable when it comes to building the showroom versions.
Thanks for looking, and do get in touch if you’d like more details, or if you have some pointers for me!
