Tonight I completed (or should really say ‘updated’) my first Porsche 959 chassis restoration.
This one is going to be my runner, as it’s been too long since I first owned one from NIB way back in 1986, and i can’t wait to re-live my “good ‘ol days”.
I think it’s been a pleasure to spend the last several months taking time to complete this project, as it’s been a brilliant ‘stress reliever’ from my daily work responsibilities.
I have 8 more chassis to restore… most of which are 99% complete. The only next phase of the restorations is to tackle the lexans, which are all ready and waiting for me.
This runner will have an original body which is in relatively good condition, so being for the runner, I won’t totally restore it.
I also hope to capture some of the long anticipated action on video, so will post it up (if and when) it’s ready.
